Toxicity Gaming Server Monetization & Compliance Procedures

Updated: Sep 19

  • Charging players to access a server is allowed so long as the fees and any associated perks do not affect gameplay, and any server limited to paying players either runs on a separate hive or uses identical rules and settings as free servers.

  • Product placement, in‑game advertising, sponsorship and accepting donations are permitted. Donations must be voluntary—players who choose not to donate must still be able to play.

  • Selling in‑game items or cosmetic perks that do not affect gameplay is allowed on modded servers.

  • These rules apply only to private‑shared DayZ servers; public hive DayZ servers and the original DayZ mod cannot be monetized.

Guidance from the FAQ

  • Donations are voluntary gifts without any reward. If players receive perks or rewards for donating, it is considered a sale and requires monetization approval.

  • Rewards that affect gameplay—such as weapons, vehicles, money, ammo, or housing—are prohibited and will not be approved.

  • Offering cosmetic items like custom textures, skins, reserved slots, forum badges, or product placement is allowed, provided these rewards do not affect gameplay.

  • You must have permission from all mod authors before monetizing content that uses their creations.

  • The server monetization rules apply exclusively to DayZ and Arma 3. Other Bohemia games may accept donations but cannot be monetized.

To uphold the highest standards of fairness, transparency, and compliance with Bohemia Interactive’s monetization policies, Toxicity Gaming follows these procedures:

1. Equal Gameplay for All

  • No player will ever receive weapons, vehicles, ammo, money, housing, or other gameplay-altering rewards in exchange for payment.

  • All rules, settings, and mechanics remain identical across both paying and non-paying players.

2. Donations vs. Purchases

  • Donations: 100% voluntary, with no rewards attached. These are treated as gifts from community members.

  • Purchases: If any perks are offered, they will be cosmetic only (e.g., custom textures, skins, forum badges, reserved slots).

  • All purchases are clearly disclosed as cosmetic-only and have no impact on gameplay balance.

3. Admin & Support Standards

  • Admins remain neutral and do not provide unfair advantages to donors or paying members.

  • Admin activity focuses on support, server stability, and fair enforcement of rules.

  • All administrative actions are logged and subject to review.

4. Server Maintenance & Reliability

  • Our team maintains 24/7 server stability with regular updates, patches, and backups.

  • Community feedback is reviewed to ensure smooth gameplay and quick issue resolution.

  • Downtime is communicated clearly and scheduled whenever possible.

5. Mod Author Permissions

  • Toxicity Gaming requests and documents explicit permission from all mod authors before monetizing any server content that relies on their creations.

  • No monetization proceeds without proper approvals.

6. Transparency & Community Trust

  • All monetization practices are publicly documented for players to review.

  • Players are encouraged to report any concerns, and responses will be issued promptly.

  • Toxicity Gaming treats compliance as a non-negotiable standard, not a suggestion.

Closing Commitment

By following these procedures, Toxicity Gaming guarantees that our community enjoys a fair, balanced, and immersive DayZ experience—free from pay-to-win mechanics and in full compliance with Bohemia’s monetization rules.
